Events & Marketing Coordinator Role 

We are looking for a motivated Events & Marketing Coordinator with ideally 2 –3 years' experience in marketing and a passion for supporting event planning and execution. This role will focus on researching event suppliers, preparing event concepts, and assisting with event setup and breakdown. In addition, the role includes drafting and proofreading event briefs, helping to ensure that events are well-coordinated and impactful. We outline the key responsibilities of the role below, along with the core competencies we are looking for.

Key Responsibilities 

Event Coordination & Support 

• Conduct research on event suppliers and vendors to support Events Manager. 

• Prepare initial event concepts in collaboration with the Events Manager. 

• Assist with event setup and breakdown (moving to event delivery overtime), ensuring smooth transitions and efficient logistics. 

• Support in drafting, proofing, and finalising event briefs to guide successful event execution. 

Marketing & Communications 

• Deliver various marketing tasks to drive event engagement and brand consistency. 

• Handle social media postings, updates to the website, and management of on-site digital screens. 

• Oversee poster and printed board content, including design, printing, and distribution. 

• Manage the WhatsApp channel for promoting events and updates. 

• Provide promotional support for on-site retailers to enhance foot traffic and sales. 

• Liaise with universities and front-of-house teams to promote events effectively. 

Content & Strategy Management 

• Maintain and update the Campus Life webpage with engaging, timely information. 

• Coordinate and send out regular content to keep audiences engaged and informed. 

• Support in managing the content strategy across digital channels, ensuring brand alignment. 

• Manage photography and video content collection. 

• Gather insights and produce reports on marketing and event performance. 

Key Competencies we are looking for:

1. Organisational Skills: Ability to coordinate multiple aspects of event planning and marketing, with attention to detail and deadline management. 

2. Creativity & Initiative: Capacity to develop unique concepts and support visually engaging and impactful events. Competencies in Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Canva, and a passion for visual identity. 

3. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for drafting event briefs, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting social media and digital content. 

4. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including vendors, retailers, and university partners. 

5. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on varied tasks to support events and marketing goals. 

6. Interests: An interest in and / or understanding of the HE sector and the student experience and built environment. 

7. Personal: An enthusiastic team player, confident in creating and developing relationships with a range of stakeholders, and keen to throw yourself into our friendly, small team – we can't wait to meet you!
