The role of an administrator is essential to this strategy to ensure Crimestoppers in Essex can work effectively and efficiently to meet our objectives and to grow the volunteer team. Among the main tasks the administrator will undertake are to help organise meetings; update activity and project plans; liaise about diary events; liaise with partners and ensure volunteer details are kept up to date. You will need to be able to communicate with partner organisations often at a senior level. There may also be other opportunities such as helping with marketing and awareness campaigns as well as fundraising events. In Essex, more than 6,300 crime reports were given to Crimestoppers in the past year which were passed securely to police. Although independent, we work closely with police, the office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, community safety partnerships and other statutory and voluntary organisations.

What difference will you make?
The task of administrator for the Essex team is key to ensuring the charity meets its prime objective of increasing the quality and quantity of intelligence it gathers anonymously and passes to police. This aids police and other law enforcement agencies to bring criminals to justice. Results are measured by the number of crime reports disseminated. The administrator also has a significant role in developing the regional strategy of raising awareness of Crimestoppers services and helping to grow the volunteer team. This will help to ensure community safety and confidence.
