Eden Project is an educational charity with a UK-wide community outreach programme that supports positive action for people and planet. We are excited to announce the opening for a Wales Country Manager to lead the delivery of Eden Project’s campaigns in Wales, specifically The Big Lunch — growing awareness, participation, and impact through strong partnerships, campaigning, and community engagement.
The role: As the Wales Country Manager, you will lead strategy, delivery, and evaluation of The Big Lunch programme in Wales. This includes growing the programme through proactive social media campaigns, building partnerships across Wales with businesses, funders, government, councils, and community organisations, and gathering case studies to support evaluation and reporting. You will represent Eden Project and The Big Lunch publicly, promoting participation and fundraising opportunities.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 / A Level (or equivalent) education with strong literacy and numeracy skills. Significant experience in a similar role delivering programmes across multiple areas, with associated marketing/comms/PR (ideally in the charity/community sector) is essential. Strong campaign and relationship management skills are required, along with a good understanding of community challenges in Wales and the political, cultural, and societal context. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident public speaking, are necessary. You should have strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and experience using a CRM system. A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Wales/UK (including occasional overnight stays) are required. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
Benefits: You will be part of a supportive, passionate UK-wide team, with offices at the Eden Project in Cornwall. This role is home-based, with lone working, and requires regular travel across Wales and occasional UK travel; some evening/weekend working to support communities and events.
Applications details: The closing date for this role is 27th April 2026. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory references and the right to work in the UK.
