Volunteer Experience Manager

The Ramblers is Britain’s walking charity dedicated to ensuring that walking is accessible to all and committed to protecting the places people love to wander. We are looking for a Volunteer Experience Manager to join our People and Culture team. This role is hybrid, allowing for work from home and in-office days in London, Cardiff, or Edinburgh.

The role:

As the Volunteer Experience Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing our volunteer program. Your main duties will include recruiting, training, managing, and retaining volunteers to ensure they have a meaningful and impactful experience. You will work closely with various departments to align volunteer efforts with our organizational goals.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a relevant volunteer management qualification or comparable experience. You should possess knowledge of volunteer management best practices and the legal aspects of volunteering. Skills in strategic thinking, communication, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving are essential. Experience in managing diverse and inclusive volunteer programs is also required.

Benefits: The Ramblers offer a competitive salary range of £43,495 to £47,845 per annum, with the appointment likely at the lower end depending on skills and experience.
