What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

Attend quarterly Board meetings and contribute to discussions and decision-making. Provide strategic leadership and support. Contribute to ideas for funding streams and networking activities. Help to build the profile of the charity and contribute towards its financial sustainability. Promote the values and mission of the charity.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals who:

Are passionate about the work we do. Have experience in one or more areas of governance, strategy, finance, business development, change management or relevant sector experience. Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Are willing to dedicate time and effort to the role, including preparation for meetings if needed. Have the ability to think strategically.

We are especially eager to enhance our expertise and expand our knowledge in the following areas:

Marketing strategies and execution Revenue generation Digital capabilities and technological proficiency

Desirable Skills:

Experience in business development or change management. Previous Board experience is an advantage but not essential.

What difference will you make?

UMHAN is a national UK charity. We are the largest network of mental health professionals working in education, and have 20 years+ experience in the sector. Our members are dedicated to, and have a practical role in, providing support to students with mental health conditions.Trustees are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings and may be asked to aid the UMHAN team on an ad-hoc basis.  We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. This position is fully remote and there are no requirements for travel.
