What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with the Basildon Mind service departments and become familiar with the work of Basildon Mind its Staff, Services, and Clients Ensure that all IT services remain up and running and available for use Raise awareness and increase use of Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, One Drive) Ensure all devices are password protected and only used by authorised users Ensure all PCs, Laptops & Tablets have and run up to date, software and anti-virus programs Maintain access to Office 365, Client Database and Social Media – creating, deleting and amending users access requests Working with our existing IT Support Volunteer, provide IT support as and when needed Maintain the Basildon Mind Website, regularly post updates provided by staff and volunteers Maintain records of IT equipment, its users and their log-on details Liaise with external support companies, which includes; W3A and IT Networks UK. Provide support for the staff and volunteers who post on various Social Media Platforms. Organise the secure removal of old equipment and receipt of data destruction certificates
What are we looking for?
You should be experienced in IT support You should understand how using appropriate hardware and software can improve efficiency You must have good communication and interpersonal skills You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including clients, colleagues, Managers, Trustees, the general public and other stakeholders You should have a strong team working ethos An understanding of mental health would be advantageous, but is not mandatory

Basildon Mind is a registered charity committed to delivering mental health and well-being in our local communities of Basildon, Wickford and Billericay. We offer support and services to those experiencing mental health problems, including a Helpline, Counselling, Supported Housing, Forensic Advocacy and Wellbeing. Our hardware and software is key to allowing our team of 20 staff and 80 volunteers to use the IT tools necessary to fulfil their roles within our small charity. Many of our team connect remotely to our cloud-based MS Office tools and our CRM. Providing assistance to our IT Support Volunteer is critical to ensure we can continue to deliver services to local people suffering with their mental health. Our website is key in enabling people to understand about our charity and the help we provide. Keeping the website updated is key to ensuring our website is current and relevant.
