Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

Whether you are an experienced charity trustee or an aspiring trustee with the skills and aptitude to carry out the role, we look forward to hearing from you. To increase the diversity of our board to be more reflective of the community in Bolton, we encourage applications from young people, those with lived experience of homelessness or social isolation, people with disabilities or ethnic minority backgrounds.  Emmaus Bolton is a vibrant and growing charity and social enterprise helping people affected by homelessness. We offer a home, tailored support and meaningful participation in our community and social enterprise for up to 22 formerly homeless people. Emmaus Bolton is part of the national Emmaus federation and international Emmaus movement. Trustees meet monthly (evenings) and hold occasional training and annual strategy events. We are looking for a new trustees who can offer a time commitment of at least half a day per month. We are looking for people who live or work in Bolton, with the competencies to provide leadership on audit; legal services; equality diversity and inclusion; supporting people into employment or meaningful training; property services; or the environment and sustainability.
