What will you be doing?

As a Volunteer Bid Writer, you’ll play a vital role in helping us secure the resources needed to scale our impact. From supporting the platform’s development to driving charity partnerships, your contributions will directly enable Cherry to thrive and achieve its ambitious goals. What You’ll Do:

Research grant opportunities aligned with Cherry’s mission. Write compelling funding bids tailored to funder requirements. Collaborate with our team to articulate our impact and funding needs. Develop a library of reusable content for future applications. Track bid progress and ensure timely submissions.

What We’re Looking For:

Excellent writing and communication skills. Experience in bid writing, grant applications, and/or fundraising. Ability to understand and communicate Cherry’s vision effectively. Strong research skills and attention to detail. Passion for sustainability, community impact, and charitable causes.

Exceptional Writing and Communication Skills: You can craft compelling, persuasive, and professional funding bids tailored to funders' specific requirements. Strong Research Abilities: You excel at identifying and evaluating grant opportunities that align with Cherry’s mission. Attention to Detail: Your work is polished, precise, and thorough, ensuring no critical detail is overlooked. Project Management Skills: You can manage multiple bids simultaneously, meeting deadlines with efficiency and ease. Strategic Thinking: You understand the big picture and can articulate how Cherry’s goals align with funders’ objectives.

Experience

Bid Writing and Grant Applications: You have prior experience writing successful funding bids, grant applications, or fundraising proposals. Understanding of the Non-Profit Sector: You are familiar with the challenges and opportunities faced by charities, particularly those related to funding. Collaborative Work: You’ve worked with teams to develop impactful narratives that showcase organisational strengths and goals.
