What will you be doing?
Recruitment: Liasing with our committee, members and volunteers to help engage volunteers and welcome potential volunteers to the project. Training and Orientation: Help induct new volunteers to the project, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities, the organization's vision, and it's charitable purposes. Scheduling and Supervision: Helping to organizing volunteer sessions, ensuring adequate coverage to keep our site open, and supervising volunteers to ensure tasks are completed effectively, safely and that our volunteers needs are met. Communication and Support: Acting as a liaison between volunteers, the committee, membership and our outside site users, addressing potential concerns or feedback, and keeping volunteers motivated and up to date. Recognition: Acknowledging and appreciating volunteers' contributions, often through events to maintain morale and encourage ongoing participation, retention and engagement.
What are we looking for?
A love of nature and helping people to engage with nature in an inspiring community Excellent communication skills, including networking and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills, to deal with a diverse range of people Experience of managing or coordinating projects and volunteers Empathy with volunteers and an understanding of their needs The ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity Good organisational and time management skills. Administrative and IT skills. Political awareness and the ability to remain impartial.
