What will you be doing?

As a Website Management Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Newington Green Alliance (NGA) website. This role does not require technical expertise but does require familiarity with drag-and-drop website development interfaces. You will ensure that website content is current, accurate, and aligned with NGA’s goals. While no advanced technical skills are needed, experience with the WordPress platform would be an advantage. You’ll be working closely with other team members to keep the website engaging, user-friendly, and a valuable resource for our community. This is a great opportunity to build or enhance your website management skills while contributing to meaningful social change.

What are we looking for?

Personal Attributes:

Attention to Detail – You ensure that website content is accurate, up-to-date, and free from errors, with a good eye for design and layout. Proactive – You’re able to identify potential updates or issues with the website and take action to address them before being asked. Creativity and Problem-Solving – You bring a creative approach to making the website visually engaging and are comfortable finding solutions to minor website issues. Self-Motivated and Organised – You manage your time effectively, prioritising tasks, and ensuring updates are completed in a timely manner. Collaborative – You work well as part of a team, sharing updates, ideas, and improvements with others to enhance the overall site experience.

Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with Website Interfaces – Some experience or comfort with drag-and-drop website development tools is needed, though technical expertise is not required. Content Management and Editing – Basic skills in organising, updating, and managing content, with the ability to spot and correct errors in provided materials. Design Awareness – A good eye for design, ensuring that the site is visually appealing and consistent with NGA’s branding. Experience with WordPress (Optional) – While not required, experience with the WordPress platform would be advantageous. Technical Skills – Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and other online tools will be useful for managing updates and collaborating with the team.

What difference will you make?

Your work will directly impact the reach NGA is able to achieve to help it carry out its vision and goals, ensuring we can communicate clearly with community members, volunteers and other stakeholders.
