Social Media Support & Meta Ads Specialist

Africana Skincare is a natural skincare brand from Ghana, Africa, with a mission to offer natural African beauty products that preserve health, protect the environment, and support local African communities.

We collaborate with local Ghanaian artisans to create sustainable packaging, with almost every component sourced from plants grown in Ghana. Our current products—unrefined shea butter and African black soap—are made in partnership with a women’s cooperative in Northern Ghana, contributing to the fight against gender inequality.

We are looking for a passionate and creative volunteer to support our social media presence and assist with Meta Ads to help grow our brand and spread our mission.

Your Role

Approx. 5–10 hours per week (flexible schedule).

Social Media Support:

• Develop and maintain a cohesive social media strategy for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Create original content aligned with our values (reels, stories, posts).
• Enhance engagement and grow our audience with creative social media strategies.
• Track analytics and prepare basic reports to inform content strategy.
• Manage the community: Respond to comments and messages.
• Write blog posts about our products, community impact, and more.

Meta Ads Support:

• Help create and manage ad campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram).
• Analyze ad performance metrics to optimize campaigns.
• Research and implement strategies to target key audiences effectively.
• Stay updated on trends in paid advertising to improve our reach and ROI.

Key Skills

• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Experience with social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Familiarity with Meta Ads (or willingness to learn).
• Creative mindset for crafting engaging content and ad campaigns.
• Bonus: Experience or interest in the natural skincare industry.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Africa or experience working in/with African communities.
• Languages: Proficient in English (Spanish and other languages are a plus).
