Role Summary

Role Requirements
- 3-4 years of digital media experience, including managing a large YouTube channel.
- Experience in short-form digital video creation and editing, including scripting, storytelling, and optimization.
- Proficiency in using digital content management systems and learning new software.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to engage with audience comments.
- Super organized and has attention to detail.
- Must pass a writing and video editing test.

THE ROLE TED is hiring a media professional to drive the publishing of our world-renowned talks (and some other stuff, too) on TED’s official YouTube channel. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye, boundless curiosity, a passion for YouTube and direct experience publishing and optimizing large volumes of video. This is a full-time remote role, primarily focused on YouTube with room to expand to other platforms and editorial projects at TED.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 3-4 years of digital media experience, including managing a large (10K+ subscribers) YouTube channel. Short-form digital video creation and editing experience, including scripting, storytelling and optimization, preferably using Premiere or Final Cut Pro X. Experience using digital content management systems and the ability and enthusiasm to learn new software. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to shift between contexts, from brainstorming TED Talk headlines to engaging with audience comments. Super organized with precise attention to detail. Ability to pass a writing and video editing test.
