Volunteer SEO Specialist to advise our Editor

What will you be doing?

We need a volunteer passionate about using their skills to really make a difference. This short-term role will involve meeting, probably using Zoom, with our Editor to work on SEO for our website. The volunteer will need to understand the role of SEO specifically for a charity, and the keywords that are most relevant in the sector.  They will then need to present their ideas and expertise that will enable our Editor to most effectively work on the text of our website.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal volunteer will have experience of SEO within the charity sector. A strong understanding of Chaffinch's purpose is essential.  This could be obtained using our website and social media, and/or a chat (probably via Zoom) with our CEO. More than anything else, our ideal volunteer will have a passion for the work of Chaffinch with the children of Kibera and in helping a small charity to grow its reach.

What difference will you make?

Chaffinch is still a small charity with a modest annual turnover, run entirely by volunteers. Many will overlook us as being insignificant amongst the larger charities. However, Chaffinch has scope to make a very real difference to the children of Kibera but we are currently unable to achieve our potential due to a lack of experience and knowledge in some important fields. Finding the right volunteer for this role could mean the difference between a charity that helps a few young people and a charity that generates real opportunity and hope for children to build successful lives for themselves and future generations.
