What will you be doing?
Cambridge Regional College is one of the largest providers of vocational training and apprenticeships in the region, we provide full-time, part-time and work-based training to school leavers, adult and businesses. We are based across two campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon. CRC is governed by a Corporation made up of 20 members, including representatives from local business and the community, as well as the staff and student body. As a Governor, you will be involved in setting college strategy, the stewardship of funding, safeguarding college assets and ensuring that the quality of the experience that we provide to our students equips them well for their next stage in life. We are particularly looking for Governors with business, accounting or financial experience as have immediate vacancies on our audit and our business/skills committees.
What are we looking for?
We are particularly looking for governors who have an accountancy/business background to to join our audit and business-focused committees. No prior experience of being a trustee is required. We are also keen to hear from volunteers who have a keen interest in training and skills, possibly with a background in education, who may be interested in our teaching committee.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your time and expertise to help make a difference to students’ lives. You’ll play a key role in developing our students to become skilled workers, reaching their full potential to successfully contribute to our communities. As a Governor, you will need to be able to commit to approximately 10 meetings a year (normally 2-3 hours in early evening). Additional work includes reading meeting papers, training and attending college events on an occasional basis.
