The Role

  • You will identify, develop, and produce compelling stories to highlight our impact on children's lives, both in the UK and worldwide.
  • Manage content gathering projects from conception to completion, involving travel within the UK and globally.
  • Work in harmony with freelance photographers, videographers, translators, and various organizational teams.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in story research and multimedia content production is sought.
  • Potential to manage complex briefs involving multiple stakeholders is needed.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are crucial.
  • Understanding of ethical storytelling and safeguarding is important.

Save the Children UK is seeking a collaborative and influential individual to join our dynamic Creative Content Team as a Senior Stories Producer. This is a 10-month maternity cover position, available as either a fixed term contract or secondment.

The Role: As the Senior Stories Producer, you will be responsible for finding, developing, and producing authentic, compelling stories that showcase our impact on children both in the UK and globally. You will lead content gathering projects from start to finish, ensuring stories are captured ethically and align with our safeguarding and brand standards. Your role will involve traveling within the UK and internationally to manage shoots, working with freelance photographers, videographers, and translators, and collaborating closely with various teams to align storytelling with our strategic objectives.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in story research and multimedia content production, significant experience managing complex briefs from multiple stakeholders, and a deep understanding of ethical storytelling and safeguarding. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential.
