What will you be doing?

As our Social Media Lead, you will take the lead in revitalising our social media presence across platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and Strategy: Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our organisational goals and current affairs in criminal justice. Content Creation: Prepare and curate engaging content using a variety of digital methods such as videos, images, GIFs, and written posts. Community Engagement: Interact with our current followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a vibrant online community. Policy Advocacy: Assist in setting our position on policy matters through thoughtful and strategic social media campaigns. Collaboration: Work closely with our team to identify key topics, gather insights, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Analytics: Monitor and analyse social media performance, providing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

Social Media Expertise: Proven experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Creative Skills: Ability to create compelling content using various digital formats, including video editing and graphic design. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly. Passion for Criminal Justice: A genuine interest in criminal justice and current affairs, with a desire to advocate for policy changes. Organisational Ability: Strong planning and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines. Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a team, sharing ideas and supporting collective goals. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms. Commitment: Willingness to commit to a regular volunteer schedule and contribute consistently to our social media efforts.
