Role Summary

The Role: As a Senior Climate Change Advisor, you will lead in providing technical guidance on climate adaptation programs, particularly in developing countries and fragile contexts. You will focus on developing and learning from our climate and health portfolio, enhancing evidence bases, and integrating these across various programs and policies. Your role involves close collaboration with Country Offices, multilateral and bilateral development partners like the Green Climate Fund and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and global partners to design and implement high-quality, evidence-based programs that strengthen climate resilience and influence global climate policy and practice.
Job Requirements: We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale climate adaptation programs for multilateral and bilateral development partners. You should have a deep understanding of climate change risks, particularly those affecting communities in the global south, and the ability to translate complex scientific data into actionable programs and policy recommendations. Familiarity with global climate frameworks and funding mechanisms, such as the Green Climate Fund, is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across different regions are also crucial.
