What will you be doing?
The Living River Foundation is looking to expand the board to help continue the not-for-profit growth and manage the resources and responsibilities. The foundation aims to promote and advance improvements to the estuaries and tidal rivers around our coast for the plants, animals and the public benefit of those who live and work on them. The Trustee Board work to maintain the compliance of the foundation and its delivery for funders in a number of topics around the estuaries, particularly in the South East of the UK. The roles are not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for activities related to duties may be claimed. All Trustees should be aware of their responsibilities as outlined by The Charity Commission / OSCR.
What are we looking for?
Demonstrable experience of building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to achieve organisational objectives. A proven track record of sound judgement and effective decision making. A track record of commitment to promoting equality and diversity. Commitment to the organisation and a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort. Willingness to be available to the Co-Founders and other volunteers for advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis. Good, independent judgement and strategic vision. An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
