We are currently recruiting for an UX Interaction Designer to work within the digital solutions team of a social enterprise, which offers services (social, digital etc) to local communities and SMEs. We also passionate about Africa.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for an individual who is passionate, hands-on and eager to deliver impact that will affect the lives of communities in the developing world. The role is likely to involve working on multiple exciting projects so the individual should be able to multitask. The work will involve: creating wireframes, designing internal systems, improving the public website and facilitating rapid prototyping and user testing.

What are we looking for?

Roles and responsibilities The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

working as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team designing user journeys for digital services and documenting these using documents, diagrams and other designs building interactive prototypes which will undergo user testing implement UCD (user centred design) taking the users needs into consideration understanding complex problems and creating design solutions which consider; the business context, constraints, user needs and evidence, working closely with user researchers and web developers

Skills and Competence Essential

You know about agile methodology and can apply an agile mindset to all aspects of your work You can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery You know how to make complex and technical information and language simple and accessible for non-technical audiences You understand users and can identify who they are and what their needs are, based on evidence You understand how the digital economy is changing user behaviour Ability to explain design decision (evidence-based design) Knowledge of UX design tools like Figma etc HTML, CSS and principles of responsive design JavaScript
