Ecosia, the search engine that plants trees, is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our mission-driven team in Berlin. As a not-for-profit organization, we are dedicated to building a sustainable and independent search ecosystem that supports climate action with every search.

The role: As the CTO, you will lead our technology vision and execution, ensuring that our platforms adapt swiftly to changing user needs and technological advancements. You will co-own the product direction alongside the Product and Design teams, fostering an environment that supports efficient iteration and high-quality user experiences. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding our engineering leadership team, promoting innovation in search and browsing technologies, and making strategic decisions that align with our mission and financial constraints.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience as a CTO or senior technology leader within a product-led organization. You should be adept at leading through leaders, driving transformation, and delivering outcomes in complex situations. A strong interest in technology, particularly AI and its applications in development, is essential.
