What will you be doing?

Africa Health Organisation (AHO) will be 25 years old on 14 August 2025. We are celebrating our Silver Jubilee with the production of Africa 2050 Vision, a blueprint for AHO for the next 25 years for health planning, delivery, impact and outcome that we commit to achieving collectively by 2050. By 2050, Africa aims to achieve the highest attainable standard of health, with equity and well-being for all people throughout their lives.   Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify emerging health, traditional, cultural, environmental and socioeconomic trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth. Develop and implement the Africa 2050 Vision and initiatives aligned with the organisation's vision, mission, and goals. Monitor and evaluate health trends, competitor activities, and service user/customer behaviour to identify potential risks and opportunities. Analyse health and socioeconomic data to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current strategies and recommend improvements or corrective actions. Lead the annual planning process, including setting objectives, defining key performance indicators, and establishing action plans. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance organisational capabilities. Prepare and present strategic recommendations, business cases, and progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders.

Funding and Finance The role will involve seeking and securing funding and finance for the specific goals, objectives, targets, and outcomes. You will work with the President, the Board and senior management to research and identify public, private, philanthropic, individual giving and legacy funding and finance. Each volunteer will have the opportunity to choose their goal and set a fundraising target to achieve. If the volunteer successfully meets their goal, they will be offered a fully paid job to head the delivery of their chosen goal supported by a qualified senior manager.   VOLUNTEERING IS NOT A PAID JOB. ALL our Volunteer Opportunities are not paid or salaried. Do not apply if you want a paid job or plan to negotiate a pay deal with us. Volunteering allows people to give their time for free to society while gaining the experience they need when applying for future paid jobs.
