What will you be doing?
We are looking for new trustees to join our board. Ideally, we are interested in hearing from people who have some trustee experience, as many of our current board are first-time trustees. However, this isn't essential. We're especially looking to strengthen our board in the following areas:
Charity governance Funding Finance Safeguarding Strategic planning Monitoring & evaluation Digital & social media Working knowledge of the impact of adverse childhood experiences & trauma
Lived experience is also important to us. First and foremost, we are humans getting alongside other humans. Professional qualifications are important (and essential for some of the work that we deliver!), but relationships are just as meaningful. Many of our staff members and trustees have lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence, and caring for children with additional needs. We feel passionate that our trustee board should be truly representative of the people it serves. We embrace diversity and are open to hearing from applicants from all backgrounds but are especially keen to add more voices from people with lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence and disability, Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
