Role Summary

About the challenge

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive with extensive experience in generating and qualifying leads, and identifying prospects who have an interest in our learning solutions. This role will support with these and other responsibilities by working closely with the Sales team and other internal teams to align and suit the overall commercial strategy and the business. 


What are some of the things I will be doing?


  • Conduct thorough research to source and identify new business opportunities (leads), qualify them and offer relevant learning solutions to meet their needs.
  • Contacting prospective clients through a variety of channels – this could include reaching out on social media, phoning, emailing or meeting in person
  • Arrange and schedule business meetings with potential clients and hold demonstrations of our built content.
  • Working closely with the Learning and Programmes team and other colleagues to help align offerings with the needs of clients
  • Keep on top of administrative tasks - updating the CRM - HubSpot
  • Keep updated research on trends within the industry; overseeing competitors and movements within the learning space
  • Keeping the Sales team updated with research, insights from calls and conversations and providing feedback on the sales process
  • Build strong relationships internally to work with the Sales team in aligning and developing well-targeted leads to suit the overall Commercial strategy of the team and the overall business.
  • Communicating with and informing existing clients in a way that supports an ongoing relationship.


Essential skills and experience 


  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, particularly in prospecting and cold calling.
  • Ability to conduct consultative sales, uncovering client needs and presenting tailored solutions
  • Ability to build and nurture strategic client relationships.
  • Team player who can work with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to win deals.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to support delivery and manage client expectations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using G suite, Slack and CRM
