Job Summary

  • Account management of Pentire’s existing national retailers and key smaller groups.
  • Develop business strategies to expand Pentire's presence in the retail/grocery sector.
  • Activate promotion plans to bolster Pentire’s market visibility.
  • Work with the current Pentire distribution network and develop new networks as needed.
  • Act as a brand advocate of Pentire, establishing strong relationships with customers and their teams.
  • Utilize Pentire’s CRM to maintain detailed records of accounts, activities, and performance.
  • Skilled in category management, sales tracking, supply chain, and category planning.
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, finance, operations departments.
  • Possess team management experience and the ability to work independently.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in the retail sector.
  • Proven track record of winning, managing, and growing businesses.
  • Comfortable and experienced with all aspects of retail/grocery sector growth.

£70-90k base salary, depending on experience.

Full time, London (hybrid).

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is an incredible opportunity for an experienced consumer retail pro, with 5+ years experience.

This candidate must have a proven track record of winning, managing and growing business throughout national retailers and grocers. Reporting into our founders, you’ll work within a talented global team and contribute to Pentire’s outstanding growth.

Pentire has established an excellent platform for scaling the retail channel currently being No.2 in category in Waitrose and long term best seller on Ocado, whilst being most premium and biggest contributor to category growth. This candidate will be comfortable taking this foundation and drawing upon previous experience to continue that growth in these customers whilst also securing listings with the other remaining suitable UK grocers (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, M&S etc).

You’ll be comfortable with the exciting task above and have experience in everything it entails, whilst being able to reach up and reach down.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Account Management - Retain, manage and grow rate of sale within Pentire’s existing national retailers and key smaller single site or indy groups.
  • Business Development - Strategically prospect and win new business to grow Pentire’s availability in retail/ grocery.
  • Awareness & Amplification - Developing promotions plans with buyers Partner and activating to develop Pentire’s visibility and authority as a beacon brand for the category.
  • Distribution - Working with the current Pentire distribution network and developing new where needed.
  • Brand Advocacy - Represent the Pentire brand in market, collaborating with our customers and their teams to ensure prominent brand visibility and building excellent relationships.
  • Reporting - Using Pentire’s CRM, maintain detailed records of accounts, activities and performance.
  • Category management - Knowing your way around a data set and how to pull out key insights and story. Along with forecasting, sales tracking, supply chain and category planning.
  • Communication & collaboration - Being excellent at liaising with other departments such as marketing, finance, operations
  • Team - Experience managing a team, whilst also being able to work independently and be comfortable managing things end to end when needed.

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience working in drinks or non-alc.
  • Experience in travel retail.
  • A track record of winning and nurturing international group listings, especially USA, EU, AUS, UAE.
  • Experience creating investor and board facing materials and report.
