A strong track record in fundraising, including securing major gifts, sponsorships, and writing or managing grant applications. A passion for contemporary art and cultural engagement, with the desire to support the arts and community development. Knowledge of the legal and regulatory responsibilities of trusteeship in the UK or globally. Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Desired Qualities:

Previous experience in the arts, culture, or creative industries. A wide network of contacts in the philanthropic, corporate, or cultural sectors. Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the biennial, ensuring strong governance, and leading initiatives to secure vital funding for the sustainability and growth of our programs. Key Responsibilities:

Governance:

Ensure that Art Voyage operates in accordance with its governing documents, legal, and regulatory requirements. Oversee and guide the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve our mission and vision.

Fundraising and Development:

Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grant opportunities. Cultivate and manage relationships with donors and sponsors. Research and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities. Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns. Track donations and provide regular financial reports.

Strategic Leadership:

Provide overall leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of long-term strategies for organizational growth. Support the biennial in building and maintaining partnerships with cultural institutions, artists, sponsors, and the broader art community.
