What will you be doing?

Who We're Looking For As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership, ensuring effective governance, and supporting the charity in achieving its mission. Key responsibilities include: 

Attending quarterly board meetings and occasional special meetings.  Contributing to the development and implementation of the charity's strategic plans.  Overseeing the charity's financial health and ensuring effective use of resources.  Acting as an ambassador for Northern Cancer Voices and promoting our work within the community. 

What are we looking for?

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The ideal candidate will have: 

A strong commitment to the mission and values of Northern Cancer Voices.  Experience in areas such as leadership, strategic governance, marketing, volunteering recruitment & retention, or community engagement.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  The ability to work collaboratively and constructively with fellow trustees and staff.  A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. 

Note: Previous experience in healthcare is not required. We believe diverse perspectives strengthen our organization and help us better achieve our goals.
