The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), a leader in the promotion of design, creativity, and cultural knowledge, is looking for a David Bowie Research Fellow for a 20-month term. V&A is notable for being home to the extensive David Bowie Archive.
Role Summary:

  • The successful applicant will investigate new research into the David Bowie Archive.
  • You will initiate an independent research project that aligns with aspects of Bowie’s practice.
  • Your role is based at V&A East Storehouse, working alongside the Bowie cataloguing team and the wider Archives team.

The Role: We are seeking to appoint a David Bowie Research Fellow on a fixed-term contract for 20 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to undertake new research into the David Bowie Archive and to share that research through publication and/or programming across the V&A family of sites. You will develop an independent research project focusing on one or more aspects of Bowie’s practice or using Bowie as a starting point to explore specific issues in wider creative practice. You will be based at V&A East Storehouse, working alongside the Bowie cataloguing team and the wider Archives team.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will be embedded within the vibrant research community of the V&A Research Institute across sites.
