What will you be doing?

Paradise Cooperative is seeking a dedicated Finance Trustee to join our Board and play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organisation. In this rewarding volunteer role, you will:

Safeguard financial wellbeing: Oversee financial controls, budgets, and reporting, ensuring responsible financial management. Drive strategic decision-making: Analyse financial performance, provide insights, and guide crucial investment and budgetary choices. Contribute to good governance: Collaborate with the Board to ensure effective administration and compliance. Champion our vision: Support Paradise Cooperative's mission to foster community connection with nature through sustainable gardening practices.

What are we looking for?

To be a successful Finance Trustee for Paradise Cooperative, you will need:

Strong financial acumen: A solid understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Attention to detail: The ability to accurately review financial documents and identify potential issues. Good communication skills: The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to the Board and other stakeholders. Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and resolve financial problems. Commitment to our mission: A passion for our organisation's mission and a desire to contribute to its success. Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with the Board and staff. Integrity: A commitment to ethical and transparent governance.

While previous board experience is not essential, a willingness to learn and a passion for our organisation are key. We will provide training and support to ensure your success.
