What will you be doing?

We are seeking new trustees to join our board and help to oversee the operation of the charity. It is important that all trustees share a passion for our work with young people and our commitment to being a diverse, inclusive and creative education provision. An understanding of and a willingness to train in the principles of good governance in the charity sector is essential. We are particularly looking for candidates with influence and authority, strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to be outstanding advocates for the charity.  We embrace diversity and wish to continue to extend the range of backgrounds and perspectives represented throughout the charity, and within our board of trustees. The role of trustee is voluntary and involves attending a minimum of 4 board meetings a year which are mainly remote. There is also an in-person company development day for the trustees once a year, which is arranged with advance notice. The position is unpaid, but reasonable expenses may be claimed.

What are we looking for?

To complement the current board's skills, we are seeking individuals with relevant experience and knowledge at a senior leader level in education.

What difference will you make?

As a member of our board, you will play a key role in guiding and shaping our work and strategic direction, helping us achieve our mission as a charity. This vital position ensures we can continue providing quality education to the students referred to us, fulfilling our core purpose as an alternative education provider. As a trustee, you will have the chance to bring your unique skills to support the charity’s strategic development. Your leadership and dedication will be instrumental in maintaining and expanding the essential support and services we offer to our beneficiaries.
