Engineering Director

Omnea is a fast-growing Series A B2B business in Europe, backed by tier-1 VCs like Accel, First Round, & Point Nine. Our platform handles the entire purchasing process for businesses, making us a vital tool for capital efficiency. We're looking for our very first Engineering Director to partner with our VP Engineering and establish Engineering Management at Omnea.

As the Engineering Director, you will take profound ownership across people, process and technology as part of our Engineering leadership team. You will be responsible for multiple teams, ensuring we deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining the velocity needed in a fast-growing environment. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement, reporting to our Engineering Leader.

You will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years managing engineering teams. You've successfully managed multiple teams simultaneously and have experience as an Engineering Manager at multiple companies, including at least one successful Series A+ SaaS company. You have a strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern web technologies and a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture (preferably AWS), and scalability challenges.

We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time. We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise!
