What will you be doing?

Website Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the WordPress website, ensuring it is always up-to-date, secure, and fully functional. Update content, create new pages, and maintain the website structure in alignment with the charity's goals. Work closely with the communications team to ensure the website reflects current campaigns and initiatives.

WordPress Development and Maintenance

Customize themes and templates to improve design and functionality. Install, update, and optimize plugins for performance and security. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, liaising with external WordPress developers when necessary.

Content Management and SEO

Ensure all website content is engaging, accurate, and aligns with the charity’s brand and tone. Optimize pages and blog posts for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility. Collaborate with content creators to upload and manage multimedia elements like videos, infographics, and blogs.

Performance Monitoring and Analytics

Use tools like Google Analytics and WordPress SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast) to monitor website performance and visitor behaviour. Report regularly on website metrics and suggest data-driven improvements. Identify opportunities to increase visitor engagement and donations through UX and content enhancements.

What are we looking for?

Experience working with non-profits or charities. Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG compliance). Understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools.

Passionate about the mission of Transforming Autism. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proactive problem-solver with an analytical mindset. Experience in content management systems and have experience in developing user journeys, optimising user experience and delivering multi variate testing  Excellent PC and web skills  A great understanding of SEO and the impact of actions on search visibility A positive, personable and confident communicator Responsible and the ability to work on own initiative motivated, cooperative team player.  Good organisational skills .
