What will you be doing?
Our not-for-profit Community Interest Company delivers approaches to help lifelong learners aged 21 and over achieve success at all stages of their career journeys through experiential learning (learning by doing) and careers support. We are urgently looking for an experienced content producer to work with us as we build our connections and promote our offerings. Our challenges include being a small organisation with fewer resources, and the need to engage a variety of stakeholders. Your contribution will go a long way to helping us succeed with our mission to help thousands of people achieve their full potential at all stages of their lives. We would like the volunteer to help with:
Thinking through our different audiences’ information needs and how we can present that effectively Article writing: Creating engaging articles for LinkedIn and our blog that will appeal to our target audience LinkedIn post copywriting: Create compelling content posts (written and video) for LinkedIn that will help enable audience engagement such as likes, comments and reposts. Content for other social media platforms: Create compelling content posts (written and video) for other social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Case study writing and storytelling: Help communicate our impact via stories and case studies that we can use on our website, on social media, in marketing materials, or in our annual report.
You will be working with our strategic director who will provide an overview of our existing communication and marketing materials, as well as our content strategy and brand guidelines.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who has
Very strong writing and editing skills Understanding of use of, and ability to write for, different mediums and formats Experience in copywriting, marketing, public relations, communications or journalism Ability to write with brand at front of mind using our voice and style Ability to write for different target audiences Ability to create basic graphics on tools like Canva to accompany articles and posts Ability to produce and edit short video content suitable for social media Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements Understands the resource constraints of a small not-for-profit and is able to work with these Open to feedback Collaborative Willing and able to form part of a virtual team and contribute to team goals

Your input will help us to enable a number of individuals in the United Kingdom aged 21 and over to overcome their career obstacles and get hired.
