The role: As a Project Curator, you will be responsible for documenting and enhancing public access to the Nile Valley bioarchaeological collection. This includes recording and preliminary analysis of human skeletal remains recently donated by Sudan’s National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums. You will lead on upgrading the documentation and making the collection, along with knowledge about it, publicly accessible via digital platforms. Additionally, you will support the Museum’s public programme by delivering talks, seminars, and lectures, and identify research potential for future projects.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will hold an MSc (or equivalent) in Human osteology, biological anthropology, or bioarchaeology. You should have expertise in human skeletal and dental identification, knowledge of ethical standards in curation, and experience with museum documentation and databases.
