What will you be doing?
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic volunteer Non-Executive Director to provide leadership and expertise across several key areas. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our community while utilising and developing your professional skills. You will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and contribute to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the CIC.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a senior leadership or management role. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. For Safeguarding Candidate: Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and risk management practices. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team. Commitment to the mission and values of Bravecore Counselling CIC. Experience with relevant legal responsibilities of a company director. Experience in a counselling related field, or experience working with vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and implementation of the CIC's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. Safeguarding and Risk Management: Provide expertise and guidance on safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of our beneficiaries. Contribute to risk assessments and the development of risk management strategies. Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Companies House and CIC regulations. Board Participation: Attend and actively participate in Board meetings, contributing to decision-making and providing constructive feedback. Counselling or Relevant Experience: While not providing direct counselling services, your understanding of counselling principles or similar experience within a supporting role will be highly beneficial for understanding the needs of our clients and counsellors and informing our safeguarding practices.
