What will you be doing?

Key responsibilities

Contribute to the strategy and operation of the organisation Arrange the committee meetings and AGM, including preparation of agendas, and collation of supporting documents. Ensure clear minutes are produced and acted upon.   Maintain effective records of key documents received and submitted by the organisation. Ensure compliance with charity regulations, governance standards and legal requirements, acting as the holder of statutory registers and books, and other legal documents. Organise CVF’s responses to enquiries and our responses to water related consultations. Together with other committee members, according to your interests, participate in meetings with other local water related organisations, attend conferences and participate in other activities organised by Cam Valley Forum.

What are we looking for?

Desirable characteristics

Well organised; Literate; Experience at drafting documents; Good facilitator; Familiarity with using IT systems, such as Google Drive is an advantage. An understanding of, and interest in, at least some of the issues affecting the environment of the River Cam and its tributaries;

What difference will you make?

By helping our many volunteers work together efficiently, you will have the satisfaction playing a key role in our work.  We have already eradicated the invasive weed Floating Pennywort from the upper Cam; we have achieved Designated Bathing Water status for the Cam. We're working to end sewage pollution (target 2028) and are working to help save our precious chalk streams from over abstraction
