Role Summary

  • Applicants from diverse backgrounds are greatly encouraged, especially those having strong connections to Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest.
  • Whilst a museum background is not essential, curiosity and the ability to collaborate are key alongside transferable skills.

The Role: We are seeking a Curatorial Programme Assistant to join V&A East at a pivotal moment. You will work closely with the Contemporary Programme Curator to shape and deliver live events, performances, and public programmes across V&A East Storehouse and the future V&A East Museum. This role involves working directly with artists and supporting ambitious live events in the galleries, providing hands-on experience at the heart of contemporary curatorial practice. This is a varied and developmental role ideal for someone excited by contemporary art, design, and performance, and interested in how live programming can transform museum experiences.

Job Requirements: We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with strong connections to Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest. You do not need a conventional museum background but should have transferable skills, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
