What will you be doing?
Role Overview The Marketing & Communications Officer (Volunteer) will play a crucial role in promoting True Honour’s mission through digital marketing, content strategy, and community engagement. You will help shape our public image, develop engaging campaigns, and ensure that our message reaches the right audiences. Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and manage engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to increase audience engagement and awareness. Content Creation: Write compelling copy for social media, newsletters, blog posts, and press releases to effectively communicate our impact and campaigns. Marketing Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans to enhance outreach, increase supporters, and boost fundraising efforts. Brand & Messaging: Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all communication channels. Campaign Development: Create and manage promotional campaigns for key awareness events, fundraising initiatives, and advocacy efforts. Website & SEO (Desirable): Update and manage website content to optimise reach and engagement. Graphic Design (Desirable): Assist with creating visuals and graphics for social media, promotional materials, and reports.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in marketing, communications, or digital media (or studying in a relevant field). Strong understanding of social media platforms and content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content. Knowledge of marketing strategies and an interest in developing impactful campaigns. Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite) are a plus but not essential. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting. Passion for raising awareness about honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and domestic violence.
