The British Museum is looking for a full-time Sales Assistant to join our team. This role is based in Bloomsbury and offers a competitive salary of £25,222 per annum.
The Role: As a Sales Assistant, you will provide the highest standard of service to the customers of the British Museum Shops and visitors of the British Museum. Your responsibilities will include presenting an informative and helpful image to our customers, merchandising, operation of an EPOS till and its security, cash handling and other forms of payment including credit card, and stock control of given product areas.
About You: We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. A passion for art, history, and culture is highly desirable, along with previous retail experience working in a museum retail shop. The candidate should also demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
