What will you be doing?

Since its inception in 2008, ARCh has helped thousands of Oxfordshire children develop a love of reading, thereby improving their lives at school and beyond. The charity was awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2016 and won OCVA Charity of the Year 2018, amongst other awards and accolades. ARCh is now looking to expand the board of trustees. There are potentially 3 vacancies. Experience of serving in the charity sector as a trustee or volunteer would be an advantage, ideally in connection with children and education. We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in HR, law, health & safety, fundraising, or IT. There is also an opportunity to join as Board secretary. The ARCh office is in Bicester and the board meets 6 times a year. Details of the charity's work are available on the website.

What are we looking for?

We seek additional trustees to support our work. Previous experience on the board of a small charity and professional skills and expertise desirable but not essential. We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in HR, law, health & safety, fundraising, or IT. There is also an opportunity to join as Board secretary. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a happy team required plus interest in supporting the work of a children's literacy charity

What difference will you make?

Our Trustees help us to support over 650 children across Oxfordshire every year, with an aim to grow this number to as many children as possible!
