Senior Social Impact Consultant

  • Term: Full time
  • Start Date: May 2025
  • Location: London, UK (hybrid including 3 days working from our central London office, 2 days working from home. Please note fully remote is not an option for this role)
  • Compensation: £45k - £60k, depending on experience 

We are looking for an experienced management consultant with a passion for social impact and mental health. In this role you will act as the lead consultant for high profile accounts having an impact on mental health around the world, coach and support a small team of analysts, lead select projects, and play a key role as a core member of the small but growing core Prospira Global team.

Prospira Global has established itself as a leading global boutique advisory and intelligence firm committed to accelerating effective private sector investments and action on mental health. As we enter our third full year of operations we are now seeking to hire our core staff to lead through our next three year strategy, to establish our team and core operations. 

The Role:

This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your strategy consulting skills to mental health projects led or backed by private sector actors (philanthropists, companies, investors) around the world. 

You will also be a key member of the core Prospira Global team, working with our network of global consultants and advisors to deliver social impact projects relating to mental health and the private sector.

In this role you will;

  • Act as the lead consultant for high profile accounts having an impact on mental health around the world, initially on a number of accounts working on social media and mental health. 
  • Translate complex issues into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for private sector clients and executive audiences
  • Support the design and evaluation of impact portfolios, programmes, campaigns or partnerships
  • Lead client liaison for key client projects. 
  • Work closely with a Director and the CEO on large projects and ongoing client accounts.
  • Work closely with Senior Advisors and industry experts to provide clients with high quality, world leading advisory.
  • Lead workstreams and select small client engagements and support project management to ensure high-quality, timely delivery
  • Coach and support a small team of analysts and external consultants.
  • Support sales and business development efforts to secure additional client projects through proposal writing and identification / industry research
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Essential Criteria

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • Looking for a role where you can bring your experience working as a management consultant to have a positive social impact in the world
  • You have at least 4-6 years consulting experience in management consulting and/or social impact strategy consulting roles
  • Experience working as an analyst and/or consultant at a leading management consulting firm 
  • You have a business, mental health or analytical and social science skill set at masters level or equivalent
  • Have strong working knowledge of challenges in global mental health 
  • Have exceptional client management skills and experience 
  • Have experience working with global brands, philanthropists and/or investors 
  • Are passionate about good team management, with at least 2 years people management experience 
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and thrive in ambiguity
  • You are curious– you don’t like leaving questions unanswered, and no one needs to tell you to go look for new information that will help you better meet client needs
  • You have strong communication skills, especially for distilling and visualizing data in easily digestible formats for private sector clients (companies, philanthropists, investors)
  • You can demonstrate a proven track record of being highly organised and have strong attention to detail
  • You are a collaborative team player with a growth mindset and strong attention to detail
  • You have the right to work in the UK, and experience working globally 

Our ideal candidate would also have: 

  • Subject-matter expertise: in social media impact on mental health, online safety, social impact commercial practices and/or impact assessments, and mental health at work best practices
  • Technical expertise: skilled in analytics and management consulting practice 
  • Project management: excellent project management skills set delivering to time and budget, as well as sharing progress and stewarding colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal skills:  a concise, yet empathetic and emotionally intelligent communicator
  • Leadership & initiative: thrive when given autonomy and have intuition for leading a project and stepping up to a challenge
  • Global experience: Experience in working/funding in low-and-middle income countries is desirable.
