A local gardening community with around 600 members with community, social and trading activities. We are looking for a lsecretary to join the committee / trustees to help develop the organisation and take it to a new level.

What will you be doing?
We are a company limited by guarantee and charity and need someone able to help us with running the society in a compliant way, as well as providing advice and guidance on policies, procedures and processes for the smooth running of the society. The usual duties relating to committee agendas, minutes, AGM, etc. The committee meets in person (mostly) monthly on our site in Staveley Road, Chiswick. In the foreseeable future we would like to change to being a CIO so having experience of that would be very useful We're open to discussion about the precise nature and boundaries of the role. We're keen to meet enthusiastic candidates that probably have an interest in environment and nature and potentially have an interest in gardening/horticulture.
What are we looking for?
Ideally experience of working in a small voluntary organisation with some but limited means.
What difference will you make?
The society has been in existence since 1915. We aim to renew the organisation and make it highly inclusive and of major relevance to the local community. As well as renewing we'd like to extend the range of activities we undertake and increase our impact.
