The British Museum's Estates and Capital Projects department is excited to offer the position of Assistant Project Manager. This role is based in Bloomsbury, London and offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days required on-site. The position is full-time, with a 41-hour work week that includes a paid one-hour lunch break, under a permanent contract.
The role: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the delivery of a variety of building projects ranging from refurbishments to large-scale constructions, with budgets between £25k and £5m. These projects are crucial for the infrastructure and public-facing galleries of the museum and involve significant stakeholder management. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their project management skills in a construction or heritage environment.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and administrative skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with spreadsheets and financial systems, and a keen interest in construction or heritage project management are essential.
