What will you be doing?
What will you doing? Our Ambassador will....
Provide support to Autism Bucks members when approached by email or phone with questions, queries and concerns relating to our services or other aspects of their lives that they wish to discuss Signpost our members to other services or to other volunteers that can provide the needed support Be available to members for phone calls or video calls within an agreed time frame. Home visits would be an advantage but are not required Members often seek information and advice around various topics (e.g. relationships, job hunting & work retention, extreme emotions/meltdowns, accommodation, financial support, family issues, loneliness) and you will provide an expert's opinion
What are we looking for?
The Ambassador will have the following qualities:
Be committed to the vision and mission of Autism Bucks Be experienced and have an interest in autistic adults and a strong knowledge of autism. A relevant qualification in autism is desired, if matched by deep and relevant experience An ability to:
Handle issues on the spot or signpost to other team members when needed To communicate sensitively and in a straightforward manner To adapt discussions according to our members’ needs Manage difficult situations at times.

Your unique experience and commitment will have an impact on the lives of autistic adults throughout Buckinghamshire and its autistic community. There are limited resources for members of the autistic community and you will be able to change that. You will have the opportunity to work with committed and experienced volunteers. You will deepen the knowledge and understanding of autism and the experiences of autistic people. You will ensure autism has the necessary profile and attention
