As a Financial Controller at Climate Arc, your duties will include:

  • Managing our day-to-day financial operations.
  • Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Overseeing robust internal controls.
  • Directing the effective stewardship of our financial systems.
  • Guiding and mentoring the Management Accountant.


The candidate for this role should possess the following requirements:

  • Qualified accountant certification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, preferably Xero.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and data manipulation.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in handling audits and year-end reporting.
  • An agile work approach and exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in non-profit or multi-jurisdiction operations and leading finance staff or outsourced providers is desirable.

The Role As a Financial Controller at Climate Arc, you will be instrumental in managing our day-to-day financial operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. You will oversee robust internal controls and the effective stewardship of our financial systems. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, your role will ensure smooth financial processes and availability of accurate financial data to aid in organizational decision-making. This position involves operational management with a focus on financial control and compliance. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to the Management Accountant.
