Role Summary

  • Lead incubation and execution of a new fund aimed at enhancing UK's dynamism.
  • Design and implement initiatives like open calls, awards, and events to reveal parties furthering the fund's objectives.
  • Incubate new schemes by recruiting suitable partners, talent, and resources.
  • Deploy systems, tools, and protocols for efficiency in program delivery.
  • Manage grantees, fellows, and individuals to ensure the successful realization of their plans.

Renaissance Philanthropy is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fuelling a 21st-century renaissance by increasing the ambition of philanthropists, scientists, and innovators. In our first year, we catalysed over £160m in philanthropic funding for various sectors including AI, education, climate, health, and scientific infrastructure.

The role: As the Programme Manager, you will lead the incubation and delivery of a new fund aimed at making the UK more dynamic. This involves designing and delivering new initiatives such as open calls, prizes, and events to surface individuals and organisations advancing the objectives of the fund. You will also be responsible for incubating new efforts by recruiting relevant partners, talent, and resources. Additionally, you will use systems, tools, and processes to support efficient programme delivery and manage grantees, fellows, and individuals to ensure successful execution of their plans.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate is high-agency, works at a fast pace, and has a proven ability to turn visions into reality. You should have experience executing in complex environments with cross-sector teams, including bridging government, philanthropy, and corporate stakeholders. Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to operate in ambiguous situations and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
