Role Summary
- Participation in a newly-formed cross-functional team targeting user engagement and communication.
- Improvement of frontend and backend tech stacks.
- Development of landing pages, conversion tracking, and email-building tasks.
Role Requirements
- Strong background in JavaScript.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate with the marketing team.
- Experience with production code, testing methodologies and proactive learning.
- Acquaintance with conversion tracking technologies, content tools like Braze or HubSpot, plus TypeScript and Vue.js programming is favored.

Ecosia, the eco-friendly search engine, is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Lifecycle Marketing Team. You can choose to work remotely or from our office located in Berlin. We are on a mission to engage users and enhance climate action through our platform.
The role: As a Frontend Engineer, you will be part of a recently formed cross-functional team. Your main tasks will include improving communication channels with our users, from acquisition to retention. This involves diving deep into our frontend and backend-of-the-frontend tech stack, enhancing our user engagement platform capabilities, creating landing pages, building emails, and improving conversion tracking.
Job requirements: We are seeking candidates with a solid background in JavaScript, capable of managing their own tasks and collaborating closely with our marketing team. Experience in building and deploying production code, various testing methodologies, and a proactive approach to technical learning and professional growth are essential. Familiarity with marketing conversion tracking technologies, content tools like Braze or HubSpot, and programming in TypeScript and Vue.js is advantageous but not mandatory.
