The role: As the Volunteer Development Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing the volunteer experience and ensuring the effective delivery of our strategic goals. This position allows you to work either hybrid (split between home-working and office in London, Cardiff, or Edinburgh) or entirely home-based. You will lead initiatives to attract, recruit, and retain volunteers, ensuring their journey with us is fulfilling and impactful. Your efforts will focus on creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive environments for volunteers, aligning with our strategic vision to make volunteering a purposeful and rewarding experience.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of volunteer management, including the legal aspects and best practices related to recruitment and retention. You should have experience in developing strategies that enhance volunteer involvement and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage projects across multiple teams.
Benefits: The Ramblers offers a competitive salary range of £47,845 to £54,369 per annum, depending on experience.
