ISSOS is looking for a Male Counselor to join our team. We are an award-winning company that provides a unique, high quality summer school experience for students from all over the world. We are committed to providing a safe, fun and enriching summer experience for our students.
The role involves looking after the welfare of our students, helping your group to bond and being a positive role model for them. You will be responsible for running and taking part in the evening programme and sporting activities, running and supervising the cultural trips included in the programme, and ensuring our students are happy and safe at all times.
Job requirements include previous experience working with young people (minimum 2 years), interests in sport, music, theatre, dance and other hobbies would be advantageous, and fluency in English. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to have a positive impact on young people, is fun in nature and doesn’t take themselves too seriously, works well in a team and has a flexible attitude, stays calm under pressure, has clear and effective communication skills, and is enthusiastic with the ability to self-motivate and use their initiative.
The job involves working at our locations in St Andrews, Cambridge, and Yale. The job is fully residential and all staff will be actively involved in the various events and activities that we put on for our students. The salary for the session is $2400 USD. We provide accommodation in all locations for all staff. Meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation.
