The Role The V&A is pleased to announce a new doctoral placement opportunity for the 2025–2026 academic year. Applications close on Friday 30 May 2025. As part of our commitment to supporting early-career researchers, the V&A offers a range of doctoral placements designed in collaboration with museum staff. These placements offer PhD students the chance to contribute to live research projects while gaining experience with collections, curatorial methods, and inclusive practice. This placement will support Young V&A’s ongoing development of child-centred collections research. Building on the co-working methodologies used in the creation of the Young V&A galleries, the researcher will explore new ways for children’s voices and perspectives to inform research into objects in the collection, both on and off display.
