Volunteer Treasurer

What will you be doing?

The Treasurer is a vital leadership role responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization. In this position, you will ensure the charity’s finances are accurately tracked, well-managed, and compliant with all relevant regulations. You will work closely with the Management Committee to create and monitor the annual budget, oversee cash flow, and ensure the charity’s financial sustainability. Your responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, preparing reports, managing bank accounts, and ensuring proper handling of funds raised through donations and fundraising events. With a background in bookkeeping or accounting, you will bring a high level of expertise to the role, ensuring that all financial processes are transparent and well-documented. You will also help develop policies and procedures that support sound financial practices.
